Bone, July 30, 2025 — The Tapak Suci Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Muhammadiyah University of Bone (UNIM Bone) has once again recorded a brilliant achievement at the regional level. This time, UNIM Bone’s Tapak Suci unit successfully achieved proud results at the Phinisi Championship Tapak Suci Pencak Silat Open Tournament across South Sulawesi, which took place over four days, from July 24 to 27, 2025, in Gowa Regency.
The tournament, organized by the Tapak Suci Regional Leadership of Gowa Regency, was attended by various universities and pencak silat schools from across South Sulawesi. In this fiercely contested competition, the contingent from UNIM Bone’s Tapak Suci unit successfully brought home 1 gold medal and 5 silver medals—an achievement that demonstrates the consistency and dedication of student-athletes in bringing honor to the campus.
This success was welcomed with deep gratitude and pride by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs of UNIM Bone, Gunawan, S.Pd., M.Pd.. In his statement, he expressed high appreciation for the students’ hard work.
“We are very grateful and proud of the achievements reached by the UNIM Bone Tapak Suci unit. This accomplishment is clear evidence that UNIM Bone students not only excel in the academic field but also achieve in extracurricular activities. Hopefully, this will serve as a trigger to continue achieving at higher levels,” said Gunawan.
With this result, the Tapak Suci unit of UNIM Bone further demonstrates its existence as an active and productive student activity unit, continuously upholding the reputation of Muhammadiyah University of Bone in various regional and national competitions.
